The feature doesn’t seem to work with us.

We have defined several goals. The adwords report -in adwords- shows the conversions. However, the google analytics account shows no conversions at all. CR shows a consistent 0.

It seems that the conversions measured through adwords take a 30-day period into account. In Analytics it only shows session conversions. Is this correct?

There are a number of reasons why you might not be seeing conversions, for example are your goals/funnels set up correctly, is your AdWords account correctly linked to your Analytics account? We would need more data to assess where the problem lies, you can contact me at mail@ga-experts.co.uk (FAO: Jim) if you would like to pursue this offline.

WRT to AdWords Conversion Tracking, this use a cookie with a 30 day expiry date so in that respect it does take a 30 day period into account, however Google Analytics sets a permanent cookie that tracks users in perpetuity allowing for more accurate data on, for example returning vs. new conversion rates.

I would check on how you have defined your goals and filters. Often regex can look correct but actually not work and therefore prevent the cost data import from working/showing. Feel free to post the regex here for us to look at.

Also bear in mind that the Adwords Conversion Tracker also uses third party cookies (often blocked and deleted by users) while GA uses best practise 1st party cookies - so numbers will never match.
